For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Lidia, located several hundred miles south of the southern
tip of Baja California.
1. South of Southern Mexico (EP99):
An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located south of
the Gulf of Tehuantepec is associated with a trough of low
pressure. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for
gradual development during the next several days, and a tropical
depression is likely to form this weekend or early next week while
the disturbance moves slowly west-northwestward.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.
2. Western East Pacific:
An elongated area of low pressure located about 1200 miles southwest
of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing
limited shower activity. Development of this system is no longer
anticipated while it drifts generally westward over the western part
of the East Pacific during the next few days.
